Just to let you know it is called the BrailleNote by Humanware our software is called Sendero GPS.
But GPSNote does have a nice ring to it!

Trekker's list, but next time I grab the demo unit I'll experiment.  But, it
takes 1-2 minutes to get a fix, versus 10-30 seconds with the Helix on the

Steve and All,

I would like to just add that the time to first fix is not dependant on the
GPS solution, but rather the GPS receiver one is using. For example, if you
are using an earthmate it would take much longer to acquire a fix as
compared to the holux. It might take even twice as long in some situations.
