Hi Chris, the problem I had was that I failed to notice that the
data files did not copy using the Mpower's copy command. Funny
thing is though, that I marked all files with the 2 3 4 6 dots
and enter. I guess because I had not issued the command to show
all including hidden files before marking all files, the data
files still did not copy. Thanks, Jim

another?
Hi Jim,
The below paragraph is taken directly from the 6.0 manual.
5. Paste them into the appropriate directory on the Compact
Flash card,
making sure you get all files associated with a particular map.
For
example, California has 8
files, 1 RMF file for each of the 6 state sections and 2 database
files used during
an address lookup. One database is used when performing a City
Lookup and the other
is used when searching by zip/postal codes. For example
California_1.rmf California.cdb
and California.zdb. Note: when viewing the files in your map
folder using the BrailleNote,
you may need to change the BrailleNote to display all files
including hidden as the
BrailleNote hides database files by default. For more
information on viewing hidden
files, please refer to the BrailleNote's user guide.
Hope this helps.
Chris

Questions about copying and moving maps. I have copied a number
of states to my CF card and some to another smaller one. Using
my Mpower, I copied the Missouri map from my alternate card to
the CF card with the maps folder in it. I copied all Missouri
files into the map folder. They were not in a separate Missouri
folder. Opening GPS, when I tried to point the city selection
to
Missouri it only found California and Hawaii, the only other two
states currently in my map folder. Yet, when I chose the
Missouri map on the other CF card from the Gps options, the map
opened fine, just without the commercial and user POI's because
they were not in that folder. So why wouldn't the GPS system
open the Missouri map in the map folder? Could the Missouri
files
have gotten corrupted when copying them from one CF card to the
other in my Mpower? I wouldn't think so, but it's a riddle I
can't solve. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jim
