[gps-talkusers] e: Re: e: Re: e: Using gps and bt printer (not simultaneously)

Hello,
It has two parts.
The part that plugs into the embosser, is a parallel device and has a power supply. The other end is a usb device that goes into the usb port of the computer. I have the Juliet Classic embosser, but the problem is that Enabling stopped selling this device, so you would have to google Bluetake and then look for the BT 200.
Hope this helps,

Robert Stigile

Robert,

Does the BT200 connect to a serial port or is it a USB device?
Which
Enabling embosser do you use? Thanks.

Hello,
When I got it the adapter was $80 and I purchased it through
Enabling
technologies.
They do not sell it anymore.
I would do a search on Google for Bluetooth adapter. You want
the bt 200
adapter.
Good lumk,

Robert,

How much does a blue tooth adapter cost? Where can you buy it?
Thanks.

Hello Sue,
I use the Bluetooth adapter on the embosser.
I have had no problems with using the gps and then going to the
bluetooth for the embosser.
I usually have to search for the Bt and choose printer, then I am
good to go.
When I want to use the gps, I just make sure the receiver is
active and I am good to go.
Hope this helps,

I was asked to respond to a friend who heard that BN GPS users
have
difficulty using bluetooth printers, possibly because they also
use another
bluetooth device, i.e., the gps receiver. (We know that you
cannot use both
the receiver and the printer simultaneously.) I have not heard
of this
problem, but I want to give them an accurate answer. Can anyone
respond
with input regarding any problems you've had in this area? Or if
you use
both gps and a bluetooth printer successfully, can you tell me
what printer
you are using?
Much thanks,
Sue Sweetman
