Hello,
Well, I couldn't resist responding to this e-mail.
Maybe one doesn't need a constant reminder of the street in their neighborhood, but there are many places that one travels out side of their town, that they have no clue what the street names are, and that is why this feature is necessary.
I travel a lot, in fact I was just in Baltimore for the weekend, and I had maps loaded for that city, and it was great to know the street names I was traveling on, for the taxi drivers had no clue where they were going, so I gave them directions.
So, I would say that the feature of knowing the street names is a necessary feature.
Just because one doesn't need a particular feature, doesn't mean that the next person wouldn't or couldn't use it, and you should think of that before you post.
Regards,
Robert

streets.

I would not think that you would need to have the name of the
street you
are traveling on continuously announced unless the street changes
its
name, or you turn onto another street.
