Yes it is handy to have a reminder of the street you are on. pressing a will
always tell you that. We are discussing how to handled cross streets you are
passing. Right now if you don't have a route set you don'g get cross
streets.

Hello,
Well, I couldn't resist responding to this e-mail.
Maybe one doesn't need a constant reminder of the street in their
neighborhood, but there are many places that one travels out side of their
town, that they have no clue what the street names are, and that is why this
feature is necessary.
I travel a lot, in fact I was just in Baltimore for the weekend, and I had
maps loaded for that city, and it was great to know the street names I was
traveling on, for the taxi drivers had no clue where they were going, so I
gave them directions.
So, I would say that the feature of knowing the street names is a necessary
feature.
Just because one doesn't need a particular feature, doesn't mean that the
next person wouldn't or couldn't use it, and you should think of that before
you post.
Regards,
Robert
