One thing to try to see if it is a battery issue or not is to plug in the receiver. Then wait a couple of minutes and turn it on. Next turn on the Braille Note and see if it can connect. I had to do this several times with the earthmate blue logger.

Can a backup battery be purchased from Sendero? How will you know
when
the battery just stops working and a new battery is necessary? I
am
still having issues--not as many--with my BN not finding my
Holux.
I've done the 4-5-6 resets. Right now, that hasn't helped this
time. I
just wonder do I need a new battery.
I've really been using my GPS. I actually am quite sad that it's
not
working. I just wonder do I need a new battery.

It wouldn't hurt to charge the battery every night.
The Holux babattery last around 10 hours, so if there is a day
that you
only used the GPS fot around half an hour or so, there isn't
much sense in
charging it. I would also recommend purchasing a backup battery
as there may
be those situations where your Holux battery may just die on you
while you
are out traveling.

Hi All,
Is it appropriate to plug the Holux gpslim236 battery in before
it loses
its full charge? I am thinking I will plug it in each night
after using
it on a given day. Until now, I have been trying to let it run
down
first. This leaves me without the use of it when I don't know
how low the
charge is.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
