Hi this is Karen Bailey from Cape Cod. I just got my g p s and am trying to learn how to get to the manual to read it. I am also a very new braillenote user. Can somebody talk me through how to get to the manual? Have the card installed, g p s was installed this last Friday, the 28th. Thanks.

A sat is short for sattelite. (I'm sure you know but these are
devices in
orbit that use complex time keeping methods and signal
measurements,
combined with your receiver to calculate lots of things including
your
position in 3D, time and so on.

Sindero offers the M1000 from Hollux which from what I've read on
this list
is the only way to go (and only really supported device). You
can buy them
anywhere but I'd suggest Sindero as they also include a carrying
case and
again, you'll get the excelent support. The Sindero price is a
bit higher
than say an Amazon but again, you get the custom case and the
support which
is more than worth the delta in price.'

Thanks to all of you. I have read 3 answers to my question and
it all
sounds logical. I have come up with 2 mor questions from what
you have
said. G B, you said that I should stand still for a few seconds
then
check my sat. What is my SAT?

Scott, you said that I am working with an older reciever. What
would you
recommend and can I get it locally or does it have to come from
either
Sendero or Humanware?

I love the equipment and it is fun being a "Back seet driver."

John,

You will have a little variation in the point of intrest.
The best thing to do is when you get to the spot you wish to make
a p o I,
is to stand at the spot for 10 to 15 seconds and then check your
sat.
status
and then mark the p o i. this gives the system a better chance
of more
difined position of where you wish to make the p o i.

Note; remember there is a little veration in the fix of a G P S.
it will
put real close to the spot but not rite on top of it. This is
when you use
your great mobility skills for that last 15 to 20 feet or so, and
put
yourself rite on top of the position.

Greetings, I am John Harden in Daytona Beach Florida. I
purchased a used
mPower QT 18 with Sendero GPS. I have version 4.02 and the Holux
GPSLIM236
reciever.

Now, this is a strange thing. When I am standing still and
create a
usert point of interest I am told that the point that I just
created is somewhere else. Fore instance, I am told that the
point that I just created is 25 feet south. If I haven't moved
why is the point somewhere away from where I am?

I have marked all the gates at our bus transfer station. While
standing
at
gate N3 the GPS announced gates S4 and S7. S4 is not too far
away but S7
is
probably 200 feet down the platform and on the other side. This
project
is
probably not going to be very helpful. Any help will be
appreciated.

John
