sendero requires Braille note, which is quite an expensive thing.

I used Sendero's gps v1 when we didn't have maps here in the uk I work as a piano tuner and found even without maps it is very helpful to leave points of interest at places like road junctions, bus stops, you might use a point of interest to name a road a line of points along that road helps you to re-locate that road another time, the user poi system was very helpful of course having maps is wonderful and makes things so much easier but, careful setting of user pois can give us as totally blind people a lot of help and independence.

no it is also not available, but I thought if
something like points of
interest facility is there, I could create some
useful POI for my area.
Although I am not sure how far we can go with 
points of intrestes alone.

does any of GPS softwares use google maps? or can
it be of any use to link

your best bet. It is about
50% accessible and the price is right.
