Hi Sarai, I agree. I know this has nothing to do with GPS, but
please bear with me because I'd like to give some advice to women
that I received from a friend who's a cop when I posed that
question. This does presuppose that you have a cell phone, or
are home and can make a phone call. If approached by someone
claiming to be a police officer, or if someone comes to your door
claiming to be a police officer, ask them for their name and
badge number. Then call the police department, explain the
situation, that you are blind, and ask if there is such an
officer with that badge number. He said that some cops might be
irritated by that, but if asked, they are supposed to give that
information. He also said any cop worth his salt will be happy
that you checked if you have any doubt. This guy's the salt of
the earth, so I think I'd trust what he says. Debby and Cleo
