I looked into doing this with a Royaltek receiver, but the software was
a bear to use with speech, and I was scared of making a mistake and not
knowing how to correct it. Even more skilled computer users than myself
backed away from trying this.

Many receivers have a battery backed up storage facility for settings so
a reconfiguration on each powerup wouldn't be necessarily required
(depends on the unit). However, I wasn't suggesting anyone do this
lightly just that it's an option if folks are having resolution issues
at low speeds. I need to admit though that I am a hopeless gear head
for life so while I tend to go straight under the hood and start
tweaking your milage may varry!
