[gps-talkusers] Re: delay in KS7

Hi Peggy,

For the mPower and the Classic users you will not need to do anything special. It should just continue to still work after the upgrade. If something does go flaky just re-install your GPS 3.3 with the same installer package you received when you purchased GPS 3.3 and all shall be fixed.

For those with a PK, you will need a new install package and this is due to the fact that Humanware has finally made all their platforms the same and now the PK has the same directory name of "Flash Disk" as the mPower and the Classic. Since we were storing files in the old directory of "FlashDisk" (i.e. without a space between Flash and Disk") this is why you need a new installer. You can get your free installer from the dealer who you purchased your PK from.

Sorry for the inconvenience but this was out of our control.
The good news is now the PK, mPower and Classic all now under Keysoft 7 have the same directory structure which makes my life a LOT easier.

Mike, did I remember something about something that had to be worked out with GPS and eloquence speech in Keysoft 7, or am I imagining things? <grin> If I'm remembering right, will our current GPS 3.3 work with Keysoft 7, or will we need some kind of update? Don't want to install KS 7 and lose my GPS.

FYI.
The release of Keysoft 7 for the BrailleNote has been delayed until Monday, January 23. For those who have not purchased the SMA, this gives you a bit more time to get the good deal of an extra upgrade along with the KS7 SMA purchase.
