Cookl, i noticed that the holux didn't work for me well wen I had it in my
pocket and I keep hearing of this strap that goes with the pk. My pk came
with its standard strap, nowhere to hook in the receiver. Thanks.

The Holux is pretty sensitive and will pick up even inside a vinyl
backpack.
Be aware however that your body does act as a bit of a damper to radio
signals. If you are really having a hard time acquiring, place the
receiver away from you on the trunk of a car for example, preferably not
one that is moving or likely to move.
Placing the receiver on top of your shoulder with the face toward the sky
is the most practical place hooked into a shoulder strap. It will work in
a pocket or purse but your directionality may suffer a bit.

Hi
The type of clothing you where can make a big difference. A shirt pocket
or light jacket pocket is fine but be aware that it won't work so well
with waterproof or windproof jackets.

Hi,
I just stick it in my pocket. I can easily get ten satellites with
it in there. I have stuck my old earthmate in weird places just to get
a
signal. The Holux works great though.

Hello members,
Using a braillenote pk, what' the best way to carry my holux reciever
when
using the gps as I walk? On my pk's strap, there's no way to clip the
reciever since it tends to fall off. Thanks.
Armando
