LOL
Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad VR bought me the GPS. I'm job hunting
and it will be a good tool. Also, my neighborhood is very confusing and
I want to mark where I go sense I have no clue where anything is. I also
wanted it for a safety net, no one can find my neighborhood and if I
take a cab or something I can give directions.

Hi Sarai,
It seemed an age before Anyone wrote anything on the gps and so when I
saw your message, it really pleased me as I feel I already know you from
the bn listing.
You asked about where you put the satalite? You should have received a
shoulder strap and half way up are two little pockets on it to which the
satalite clips to either one, preferably the top one as the higher it is
on your shoulder the better the reception. The strap can be worn either
on left or right side of the body. As a matter of interest, how many
compact flash cards did you receive? I only received 1 but someone said
it should have been two, although It would have been a blank one, as I
seem to have all the notes needed. Has anyone told you that in order to
read your tutorial you need to go into the media on what is called the
storage card on the pk. I took the plunge two weeks ago and went out on
my first walk alone for about 7 years at least. It was a little nerve
racking as I didn't know the route as a pedestrian still I felt quite
chuffed when I reached my destination and found the appalling footpaths
not a deterent.
I took my third outing and that was on a bus so was pleased at that
result too.
When I came home in the taxi after that bus ride I still had my gps on
but on the loop system and all of it was under my coat as I could feel
controls with hand in my pocket of coat, anyway the car radio became
extremely statically noisy and the driver showing off with knowledge
told us it was to do with the sun rays! So I quietly turned gps off and
the noise stopped too and never came back. I never said a word! but
have been chuckling all day since. (grin)
I do hope we can all learn lots on gps list as there is so much to
remember. Cheerio for now.
Telsa.
Ps. I tried to write to you privately but to no avail.
