[gps-talkusers] Re: a virtual feature

And, much as I love the GPS system, I'm still longing for the day when we see better instruction for roudabouts (which drivers normally have in the UK) and post codes, where a number of the systems for drivers also score.

In truth, I don't feel very confident instructing a driver because of the rather long instructions for roundabouts so had to confine myself to using the GPS only to get about myself and to find routes.

Yes, I agree, alternative routes would also be nice. (Wouldn't it be great if we were told how many routes we could take and the distance in each case, and any other relative information we chose to be given before we got the route instructions.)

Anyway, that's all in my "Wish List" for the moment.

I am sure all of you at Sendero continue to work very hard indeed with many constraints in time and maybe finances too; but I do hope you can address some of these issues soon so that we can continue to use the leading GPS system not just for the blind but, well, for all! <Smiles>

Excellent idea. The original Atlas program had this
feature. We'll make sure that is added to the wish list.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] a poin feature

I have a feature request on the GPS if it doesn't
already exist. When I go somewhere I normally, set the destinnation by
using the existing POI of the POI database or create my
own POI using the address look up. When I arrive the
destination, it is normally very accurate, but sometimes
it is somewhat off or not quite where I like it to be. Then I would delete the original POI that I used for the destination, and I
create one using GPS
mode. But then I would have to reenter all the
information again: the address number, the phone number
and so on. It would be great if I could just enter on
the original POI and give it a command and it would
update the location to the current position. Does this make sense?
