Dear GPS Users,
When flying from Atlanta to Sacramento, I had the oppurtunity to fly in a
modified 757. I had the same initial reaction what can be modified about the
plane. Well, there are array of things that were added on, which some of
include built-in flat screen tv's on the back of each headrest, the tv also
included a cd player with the ability to create a custom playlist, there was
also an option for on demand, there was also the ability to watch Direct TV,
and while the passenger was not doing any of these, on the appears a picture
of the plane flying, it will signify which state the plane is currently over,
how fast the plane is going, what is the current elevation, how far has the
plane traveled, and approximately how much longer you will have to stay on the
plane. Of course, none of this information is available to us, unless we have
a GPS device of our own. I also had the oppurtunity to sit next to someone who
kindly told me one small information about the display, which was the current
state we were over, and of course, I asked a few other questions regarding what
was being displayed on the plane, which is how I found out the other
information about what was displayed. I found it kind of funny that a plane
would have to be modified to give everyone else the same information that we
are able to acquire easily on our BrailleNote GPS, so we are one step ahead.
