The main thing I like about it is that the chip set is a bit
newer,
it's 51 channels instead of 31, and it seems lightly more
accurate,
the holux is a great receiver though, no doubt about it.

Hello. Very interesting. What do you like about the Global Top
over
the Holux?
Thanks much.

Yes, the holux 1000 is a great receiver, I have one, and it's
very
accurate. Another great receiver is the global top g33, it uses
the
newest mtk chip set, 51 channels. Out of the 7 receivers I
have,
the global top is probably my favorite. It also works great
with
way finder access which is my GPS package of choice.

Hi everyone,

Last year (September) I bought a Freedom Keychain receiver as a
spare unit. I think it looks cute (my mother and a (female)
colleague both agree) and it works well with the Braillenote but
as far as I can tell its performance is pretty similar to that
of
my Holux GPSlim236 except it seems to take longer to acquire
satellites but perhaps that's because I don't use it very often.
By the way, I did not buy my Holux receiver from Sendero so it's
not one of the adapted ones.
A few months ago I got to play with my friend's Holux m-1000 and
in my opinion it's far better; much faster acquisition of
satellites and much better accuracy.
So although the Keychain is cute, unless there's a newer and
improved version I wouldn't say it runs circles around the
m-1000.
smile

Have a great day everyone.

Ilona.
