Hi Leslie,
Well once you download the USA North Central zip file you need to unzip that file and there should be a lot of files in that zip folder. Then you need to make a "maps" directory on your CF card and then copy those maps to that directory. Then if the maps don't load automatically you need to go into GPS Options (by pressing O) then cursor down once to the "GPS Maps folder" and point to your CF folder and then to your maps directory and then the system should tell you that it loaded 8 number of maps. Also make sure you don't just copy the folder into the Maps folder this won't work. You need to copy the files over which in that zip file are under the directory Maps3NorthCentral inside the zip file. 

So in your compact flash card you should see something like the following

/maps/Iowa.cty
/maps/Iowa.str
/maps/Iowa.rmf
/maps/Iowa.tmb
/maps/2008_poi_iowa_core.rmf
/maps/2008_poi_iowa_core.pdb
/maps/2008_poi_iowa_bonus.rmf
/maps/2008_poi_iowa_bonus.pdb
those are all the files just for the Iowa map and pois for Iowa, then you have similar files for the other states you have. But note all those files are under CompactFlash/maps folder not in any sub folder and that the GPS options map and poi folder points to that same compactflash/maps directory as well Only when all of that is in place will your maps load correctly.

Downloads look good. I pressed 123 reset and Power off and on (c1 and c4 for
PK. But.....

The PK says, "No maps loaded, unable to set virtual position to a map".
Whoa! Whoa will I do?

Note: I did download USA North Central. I guess I miss a file of "MAPS"?

Hi Leslie

Not sure what the problem is Leslie, I saw the box when logging in to
your account.  But any ways I have now removed the Minnesota only map
from your downloads and put the entire USA by itself.  There will no
longer be a combo box switching between Minnesota and USA you will
only have all the USA when you log in from now on.  This includes
Minnesota by the way.
