Hi, List!
Here is what Jonathan Mosen said to the BrailleNote List concerning the merger.

Hello everyone. I have been travelling for the last 26 hours to get to the
ATIA conference in Orlando, so am just catching up with your quite
understandable questions about the creation of the Humanware Group. What
I'd like to do is consolidate all my replies in this message, but I have
read all the questions and will answer them as best I can.
Firstly, let me say how excited we all are to be a part of this innovative
new venture, with the largest research and development team in our
industry. For all of us who are blind or visually impaired, it can only
mean good news in terms of product development and innovation. There are
no job losses involved in this merger, so the familiar faces you've come
to associate with your favourite product will not change. For example,
I'll still be hear to take your suggestions relating to the BrailleNote
family of products, and those with all the knowledge on the DAISY
products, Trekker and Maestro will continue to serve you in Humanware as
well.
please appreciate that it's early days. Clearly there are some really
exciting potential benefits of the merger, a killer DAISY application for
the BrailleNote being just one example. It will take some time for our
systems to combine and product development processes to be synchronised.
But no products are being withdrawn from the market as we're very proud of
all of them and the varying ways they meet the needs of customers.
To the questioner asking about BrailleNote GPS, we will be continuing to
ensure that Sendero Group has all the support they need from us to develop
what is an excellent product. Remember that it has been our hope for some
time that third party developers would be able to write code for the
BrailleNote. Sendero Group is such a third party developer, one of what we
hope in time will be many. So there is no conflict at all in us supporting
them and making the product available to you.
I am very confident you'll be delighted with the future direction of the
BrailleNote under the Humanware banner. We are in for some exciting times.

>> Hi. I just read an article about Pulse Data's merger with Visuaide. PDI
