[gps-talkusers] What am I missing:

After Mobile Geo loads, without the GPS reciever having been switched on, the (leftsoft menu) contains an option (virtually search The map). The manual states that "in virtual mode you can set your own position in the map and learn about the vicinity. Later the instructions say to press "ctl" and explore using arrow keys. All this sounds good, and I wish things were that straight forward, but none of them worked for me!
The Dell Axim x51v has always been flaky so my delema is whether it is the unit, the Geo program, My not understanding or possibly missing something from the above, or an improper installation and so I would appreciate any help with determining which is the case?
