[gps-talkusers] Re: Virtual Mode - How To

You are off to a great start Theresa.

First off you have done everything right up to this point, but what you need to do is figure out where you want to start from and where you want to go to.

Based on what you wrote you want to start from 14th street and end on H St.
So what you do is with the ctrl/chord S type in the 14'th street information and set this as your starting point ie. your Virtual position. Then do another ctrl/chord S and type in the H St. address information and set this as your destination.

Now to figure out the distance from your virtual position to your destination (as the crow flys you just press D). You can create a route now by typing a R (P for pedestrian, or V for Vehicle.)

With a little practice you will be a pro!

Enjoy and happy holidays everyone.

Good Morning Everyone:

I am attempting to do the following in virtual mode.

I think I have it, but then it doesn't seem right. So, I am thinking I have done something wrong.

Using a pedestrian root I want to go from

618 14th Street in Modesto California 95354 to

1801 H Street Modesto California 95355

Exactly how is that done.

I go into gps and select start.
When prompt to turn on receiver or switch to virtual mode I press V
I then do space with s and type in my address to where I want to go.
When I am asked to save as a destination poi or virtual I have tried it with both destination and virtual.

But then i get confused as to where I put in my starting point.

Thanks for all the help.
