Hello all,
I'd like to introduce a new topic for discussion. It seems to me that in a
future release it would be great to have some verbosity settings. this would
be very important for those of us who like to operate with braille only.
I paid very close attention to the messages I was reading on the way to work
this morning. Bebecause I had a route open, I was getting most of the cross
streets. However, for most waypoints I received three messages. First, I
read "next..." then "approaching..." and then "near.." It's no wonder the
unit has trouble keeping up. I'd love to see a way to reduce the number of
messages. For example, "next" would be fine, "approaching" takes up 8 cells
of the 18 cells PK display.
Maybe there already is a way to do this but I don't know how. My selections
seem to be between detailed, or turns only. How about a "brief as opposed to
details.
Anyone else have thoughts on this matter.
Looking forward to hearing from people.
Doug Wakefield

Sendero is pleased to announce that Christopher Grabowski is joining the
Sendero customer support team. Chris has 15 years experience in a full
range of adaptive technology products as a trainer, tester, user and
advisor. He comes to us from the University at Buffalo where he worked in
their Center for Assistive Technology.
Chris has been on the Sendero Alpha and Beta test teams for a number of
years. He has been an invaluable tester because he and his wife Marla
have almost every model of VoiceNote and BrailleNote. We could always
count on prompt knowledgeable beta feedback.
Chris is intimately knowledgeable about BrailleNotes and GPS and he
conveys his knowledge in a patient professional manner. He joins Gil Lutz
and Carl Simmons
to create an excellent Sendero customer service triumvirate with back-up
support from myself and Kim Casey. Next time you call 1-888-757-6810,
extension 111, for pre-sales or product support, you may have the
pleasure of meeting Chris.
