[gps-talkusers] Using Zip Codes to Help Find an Amtrak Station

In this case, I needed to find the Amtrak station in Fresno, CA. First, I
tried the most direct rout of defining a virtual position in Fresno and then
using [Ctrl +F] to look for nearby train stations. The nearest one was in
Merced, about 30 miles away. That was not the one I was looking for.
I decided to go to the Internet and get the address from the Amtrak website.
I found it to be 2652 Tulare St., Fresno, CA 93721. I now tried to set my
virtual position to this address, but when it asked for street and I typed
in Tulare, it came back with "found 7 matching streets. I went down the
list and chose Tulare Ave. E 93721, as it was the only one with the correct
zip code. Upon entering the number 2652 it came back with the address could
not be found, checking for cross streets. It found 10 cross streets. Since
none of them made any sense to me, I pressed Esc and accepted the nearest
address and set that as my virtual position. Then with [Ctrl+Up Arrow] I
began walking virtually down Tulare street until I came to a railroad track.
Pressing [Ctrl+C] I learned that the addresses were in the 2700 range, so I
went one block further. Low and behold, the next street was Santa Fe and
the addresses on the left were from 2690 to 2652. Since 2652 was the
address I wanted, I defined that as my user poi and called it the Amtrak
station, Fresno. A few days later, I actually took the train to Fresno and
disembarked at the location that I had located virtually.
