[gps-talkusers] Re: Update on my GPS adventures and a question or two

1 yes it will free up space on the cf card
2yes they should be correce in that poi folder but go ahead and copy and
past them all in again and tell it yes to all when you get asked if you want
to replace any files.
4 do a active sync and then go to explorer on your pc and the bn will be a
removable divice and inside that you will see the cf card and you can do it
that way. Also if you have the pcmi adaptor for the lap top put the cf card
in that and then in the lap top and move them that way.
5 when you make your first user poi, it will create a new folder on your cf
card called user poi and they will go in there automatically. Do not make
this folder the gps software will do this for you.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Update on my GPS adventures and a question or two

Hi,
Okay, good news for me. GPS is now installed! Okay thanks and the reset
worked. Now for the questions.
1. If I move the manuals and the MP3 tutorial to the Microdrive or flash
disk and delete the QT manuals and the MP3 file, will that free up
space on the compactflash card?
2. The POI CD that came with the GPS, do I need to install it in the POI
folder? The CD that says V 3.1. There are already POI's in the POI
folder and I just didn't want to reinstall something.
4. What's the best way to get maps and POI's on the compactflash card
from the CD? Will active sink work?
5. Where do I put my own created POI's in the compactflash card?
Okay, guess that's it for now. Off to read manuals.
Thanks for the patients and help.
