I can think of a few that will show when you do a search but do not show in the places near by view. As I mentioned in my review, there is a place called Ted Drews Frozen Custard a few blocks from my apartment, by the way, if you ever visit Saint Louis, be sure to try it, it's considered one of the best frozen Custard places in the mid west. Any way, you can easily create a root to this place, yet it's never mentioned in the places near by view. Another place not too far from here is a donut shop called Donut Drive in. Again, it's never mentioned in the places near by view, but if you search for it, it's in the database, and a root can be created.

I sure don't see POIs from the categories like beauty shops, physical therepists and the like in Access. They also don't use the public domaine points of which we have a couple million.

The newer versions of Wayfinder, from 2.0 onward I believe, appear to use all of the expanded POI's found in the newer Sendero products. I know the older versions didn't do this. The only problem which appears is that not all of these expanded POI's show in the places nearby view.

Trekker uses maps and points of interest from Navteq. They have about one tenth the number of POIs on the Sendero products. Wayfinder uses the same maps as the Sendero products but they don't license as many points of interest.
