I don't know, because the BN lacks a USB port, and the EarthMate comes
only in a USB version, to use it with the BN means you have to buy a USB
to serial port adapter, and then also buy an optional battery pack
(because while USB supplies power to its devices, serial communications
don't).

By the time you add these 2 options to the EarthMate I don't know how
its price compares to the Magellan, it's probably pretty close (but it's
still smaller, easier to use, and more accurate).

I think I read the next version of the BN will have a USB port, then
you'll really see the price difference, as well as having one less set
of batteries to worry about charging.

Sendaro should be able to give you exact cost figures.
