There are two modes in any Sendero powered GPS system. GPS mode and
Virtual mode. GPS
mode is when you are tracking with the receiver and virtual mode is
where you can explore the map without being connected to the
satellites. Just load the appropriate map and virtually explore.
There are two route types pedestrian and vehicle. The pedestrian
route is a route suitable for pedestrian travel. This means you will
not be routed on highways etc. The vehicle route will route you on
highways and will obey traffic laws such as one way streets.
The LookAround announcements are announcements that trigger
independent of the route type. You do not need a route loaded to
enjoy the LookAround announcements.
These LookAround announcements are Street changes, city changes, POI
announcements and intersections. Intersections will only
automatically trigger when you are within 200 feet from the center of
the intersection and when you are traveling under 15 mph.
