[gps-talkusers] The walk this morning:

Boy has the last two years or Oh my gosh, no 3 years ago today I got my
Atlas Speaks Gps.
Anyway it really paid off tremendously this morning. Peg and I started on
our 2 mile treck around the village and ran into every young Mom in the
village having coffee out of doors as today was first day of school.
Ok there were babies and dogs and strollers and everything imaginable and so
I took a side road to circumnavigate. Well guess what? I first of all ran
into a construction crew who was resurfacing the street and they told me I
couldn't cross. Then I heard the ominous words, "gps not detected. turn on
your receiver or switch to virtual mode." I knew what had happen. we ran out
of juice. I had not charged the particular battery pack since coming home
from Hawaii so was not terribly surprised. Well I turned around and started
walking when a wall of Mothers, babies, and dogs came toward me. "You are
coming up to the corner of Wooster Pike and whatchacallet street." One
Mother warbled.
I called back, "this is west street.""
Another Mom chorused, "Hay Sarah, you don't need to tell that lady where she
is, she knows every street in this village."
Nice compliment but I haven't progressed that far so we came home and will
take another walk later.
