Hi folks!
Well Peg and I are roasting out here in Scottsdale in 100+ degree
temperatures.
As a result, we take our walk at sunrise and I must say that the gps
really got me out of a pickle this morning. Seeing Eye mapped out a route
for me in January an it goes along a walking path, through an alley and
onto a residential street with many apartment complex parking lots. Well
at the entrence to one of these mega buildings is a fountain and my dog
has taken it into her head that if she steers Momma into this lot, she
will get a bonus drink of water. What she doesn't know, however, is that
there is a fence surrounding this fountain so we can't get near it. Well
this morning she steered me into the parking lot and we had a lovely
stroll through an area between 2 posts into this apartment's back garden.
I had set a destination as a particular intersection where I was to turn
onto the main road. Well trust the good ol getting warmer method and I was
able to easily direct Peggy from whenst we came and get her to make a left
out onto the sidewalk.
I can hardly wait to get my pk to see how much faster it is. I also
learned that I didn't have to keep loading the poi file with the maps this
morning.
I have been taking the time to load this folder each and every time but
decided after hearing the tutorial to try not loading the folder and I was
able to get the pois to come up with the maps which is something I
definitely didn't know.
Will there be a chat this week? I brought my microphone back from
Cincinnati so will be able to participate again.
That is an update from very hot Scottsdale.TTFN!
