Hi all
My wife and I are planning to visit the US next year and I would like some
advice about electicity supply. I will be travelling with a number of devices
that need to be charged. The problem is that all my chargers are 240 volts. The
other day I visited our local Maplins (a bit like Radio Shack) to find out if
they sold anything suitable for US use. I was absolutely staggered to find that
I could by a device with fittings for a US wall socket but with USB and British
socket outlets. It came with a warning that it did not change the output
voltage. The only device for changing voltage was a massive transformer which
would have used up a good proportion of my baggage allowance.
So can any Brits let me know what they have used when travelling to the US or
can any US citizens give any useful advice. I want to avoid the expense and
trouble of buying separate adaptors for each device.
Steve
