[gps-talkusers] Re: Sendero & Laptops

I don't know about $400, but there is a class of handheld Windows PC's
called UMPC. They have a small display, and, what is called a "thumb"
keyboard. Two brands are Samsung and Oqo. They typically have a 1 GB
processor and a 40 GB HD, and run Windows XP. You can run a screen
reader and screen magnifier on these babies, but they cost a lot more
than $400.

One of the more intriguing things I saw at the Acb convention was a very
small laptop running System Access software. This device was about half
the width of a normal laptop, was light weight, & cost approximately
$400.
Perhaps it is time again for Sendero to consider a version for laptops.
