Can I use a Braille note apex with a braille display attached and not have to carry around two devices I love the PDF support. Without this feature for me as a college student I would not be able to use a small computer that I can carry over my shoulder.

There is little reason to spend more money for a product that is a closed proprietary system when you can have the same functionality and much more by getting something such as a macbook air, or another small laptop. And the notetakers are way behind the times, I think the last update to the human ware products introduced support for reading PDF files, you've been able to do that on main stream computers for years. In short, the blind notetakers offer nothing that you cannot do on a small portable laptop and braille display for a cheaper price.

We fully expect the BrailleNote and Sense GPS products to remain as a good solution for both consuming information and especially for efficiently writing and researching. When it comes to figuring out destinations and giving driving instructions to a friend or cab driver, I will be using my PK. In other less time sensitive situations where I am just following a route and wanting basic LookAround information, the iPhone GPS will be great.

The intention is that it will have a straight forward easy to use user interface with turn by turn capabilities. We had a couple user group sessions at CSUN to get everyone's wish list for an iPhone app.

I?m currently at Carroll Center for the blind as an instructor for a program dealing with access technology and my supervisor, Brian Charlson, and I were talking about the seeing eye gps last night? He attended the focus group at CSun. Hope

I will be very interested as I have never had any particular interest in those note takers nor the extra equipment to pack around. I really prefer the universal functionality of a notebook computer but the iPhone pretty well includes most of that now along with a phone and perhaps soon a fully functional GPS solution. Awesome.
