[gps-talkusers] Re: Sd cards?

Carlos,

I believe the mPower officially supports smaller size cards, not the 2GB. I have heard conflicting reports about 256MB and 1GB cards as well. Some people have had trouble with the Lecsar brand. You might want to check on the BrailleNote list about this. Perhaps someone on this list can confirm a solid working size and brand.

Mike

Absolutely they can! That is where my maps and gps program are stored.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Sd cards?

Hi. I have a quick question. Can the GPS maps be stored on a sd card for
the braille note mpower? I see 2 gb sd cards are available now and am
considering this as an option for storing gps maps. Also, do sd cards
require less power than cf cards or are they about the same. Trying to
extend battery life as much as possible.
