I take my GPS with me pretty much all the time as well. I used the PK for
years, but just recently sold it to some friends of mine and started taking my
mPower.
I hadn't used the heavier strap Sendero had very nicely sent me for the PK.
However, when I started using the mPower and saw how easily the Holux receiver
fit on that strap, as opposed to my always struggling just a bit to get the
receiver properly on the strap that originally came with the PK, I realized I
would have been much better off using the strap sent me by Sendero all along.
As with others, the GPS is wonderful for knowing where one is when taking the
bus to and from work, not to mention when the taxi drivers don't know how to
find the address you've given them. Or, for that matter, when the cab drivers
try to take you on an out of the way route to get you to your destination.
I'm now, seeing as I sold my PK and don't want to always carry the larger
mPower with me, looking forward to using Sense NAV with my Voice Sense and Sync
Braille in its combo case. I have the unit with me visiting my family in
Kentucky this week, but there won't be a lot of instances for me to use the GPS
while here.
Finally, when I sold my PK to my friends so they could each have a PK and
Sendero GPS to use and I would have one less note taker to keep up with, they
in return purchased for me from Sendero the ID Mate Omni Bar Code scanner. The
folks at Sendero were great in helping with this transaction, and the scanner
is just wonderful for helping me know what I'm having for supper, or which
medicine I might happen to be grabbing for a headache.
