Black Friday is called "black" friday because retailers "hope" that sales
will be good that day, putting the business in the black (making a profit)
I.E. black ink is the way to show profit in bookkeeping as compaired to red
ink for losses.instead of opperating in red ink (a deficit)

Ahhh, you've haven't heard of Black Friday?  It's where all these insane
people
go the day after Thanksgiving, thinking that they are saving money on
pre-Christmas sales as they go crazily into debt and max out their credit
cards.
