[gps-talkusers] Re: Quick Battery Discharge

I use the Sportrak and have never had the battery completely discharge, but 
my guess is that if it did, it would say "GPS not detected" rather than "no 
fix, acquiring satellites" (the message we all hate.  So what message were 
you getting when your Earthmate wasn't picking up anything?  If it was the 
no fix thing, the satellites were probably just being uncooperative;  if it 
was the gps not detected, you probably lost battery power or a cable was 
loose.  At least that's my take on the situation;  I'll be interested to 
see what others say.
