Mike,
Has the GPS system been brought on line for the new BN upgrade to 6.1?
Additionally, is your GPS system being adapted for the new Braille Note PK? If
it is in development, will it be a run with a Bluetooth GPS unit? I know when
I called a couple of weeks back, your Tech people were excited about the
initial progress being made with the 6.1 upgrade. My reasons for the questions
are that I currently am running GPS v2 and will be upgrading to V3. I want to
make sure that not only can I get the enhanced performance for the Braille note
with the 6.1 upgrade, but I don't want to lose my GPS functionality until GPS
V3 is actively working in the 6.1 system. I am also looking at the PK and am
curious about GPS for that unit. My other concern is that I also plan on
getting the new GPS unit. I currently have the Magellan 310, but would like
the smaller, more accurate, and quicker unit that is available. My GPS
receiver concern is if I get a BN PK, I would also like the receiver to work on
both the BN and the new PK. Having 2 separate GPS units and programs would be
financially restrictive and plainly too much to keep updated, not to mention,
although I like my adaptives, sometimes less is more and best if able to use
under several platforms, I.e. GPS receiver and software that will work on both
the BN and BN PK. Hopefully, I wasn't too ambiguous in my questions, LIt's
been a late night.
Unfortunately, I am getting ready to leave yet another "blind" list because
some of my fellow listmates involvement in petty bickering. Please let the
moderators do their jobs, if they don't or miss something, write them (the
moderators) off list. If you have a problem with a fellow listmate, don't post
it to the whole list, write them directly and express your feelings/concerns so
the rest of us don't have to listen to it. If the problem/concern can't be
worked out directly, contact the list manager and get them involved.I speak for
myself when I say I have received great help from the info and questions that
have been posted on this list and thank you all for your help. However, I
don't have the time or patience for personality conflicts or the snide comments
made of late. If you have concerns with my comments, please feel free to
contact me off-list. Once again, I'd like to thank everyone for their helpful
tips and questions posted to the list, it has definitively shortened my
personal learning curve in using the GPS.
Steve
