Hi,It would certainly fit in a back pack, but I seldom do that. It basically is a "purse" for me that is large enough to hold the BN and my other things: wallet, cell, papers, and other misc. items.Joleen----- Original Message ----- From: "Tina B." <tinabir@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date sent: Mon, 10 Dec 2007 20:47:31 -0700 Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: Question about equipment:Interesting so does this case fit inside something else like abackpack anddo you use the bn in the case? Cool that it'll hold your cell toosince thebn {my brain}, and my cell are the two things I don't likeleaving homewith out! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joleen" <cjferg@xxxxxxxxxxx To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, December 10, 2007 8:26 PM Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: Question about equipment:I have purchased two different HandiWork cases for the mPower. Ilike thesecond one best.It has a main pocket where the bn slips in with the end up. Iam carefulto have the end up with the on/off switch nearest the opening incase Ineed to turn it off. With the BN in the HW BN case, it is avery tightfit to put it in with the braille display nearest the top.Besides this main compartment, there is a cell phone holder onone side ofthe case. There are three smaller pockets on the front but twoof thethree are not that small. I can easily fit my Victor Stream inthe top(smallest) pocket. On the bottom or back, there are another three pockets. Thelargest isthe size of the entire case and easily holds 8.5 by 11 sheets ofpaper.Down from it is the only velcro pocket. It works for puttingthings thatyou want to have quick access to such as a plane ticket whenpassingthrough an airport. Then there is one additional pocket on the back that also has azipper. This case has a handle on the top as well as a shoulder strap.Theshoulder strap is detachable with a clip similar to a dog clipon eitherend. I actually wear it around my waste. When I use my mPower as a GPS, I fasten it around my waste andlet it siton the handiWorks case. I actually use an old BNS strap for mymPowerbecause it is thinner and easier to handle. I do have anexternal speakerfor the BN and when I need to use it, I fasten the BN strap tothe mPoweras well as the BNS strap and wear that strap over my head anddiagonallyacross my body. The case is deeper and on the few occasionswhen I havefallen with it, the HandiWorks case touches down first and Ithink itcushions the BN. I have not hurt it on either "try".I have tried to lock the keyboard and put it inside the case butI don'tlike that as well. I haven't tried it lately, but In my memory, the BNbeeps every time there is pressure on a key. That is all thetime when itis in the case with the keys locked. The first case that I bought was made the same way as the onedescribedabove, but its dimensions were smaller and I could not slip 8.5by 11sheets in it without folding them. It had some slots within oneof thepockets for credit cards. That was handy and I miss thatfeature in thenew bag.Their products are well made and durable in my experience.I think there still needs to be a better option for mPower GPSusers. Ihave been trying to come up with the perfect design. It wouldbe a casethat allows the BN to slip in with the space bar toward the top.Thereneeds to be enough room to slip my hand inside and use it. Aclosure atthe top such as a zipper would be a great feature as it wouldprotect itin a rain storm. I have tried to think of a way to keeppressure off thekeys when in the case. Then there needs to be some additionalpockets asI described so that the case can double as a purse or briefcasewithoutbeing huge. Perhaps redesigning the case I described above sothat thelong side is the top might just do the trick. I like to fastenmy BNaround my waste when I use it. That way, I can stand in churchand readfrom the braille display. When I am sitting, I have less fearof droppingit off my lap. This means that it would not work for me to takeit out ofthe BN case. That might be an option, though, for some.Another thoughtwould be to design the BN case with the ability to attach astrap directlyto the unit so that I could still keep it fastened to me when itis out ofthe case.Just some thoughts that are toward the off topic side of things.Joleen----- Original Message ----- From: "Tina B." <tinabir@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: <gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date sent: Mon, 10 Dec 2007 17:27:05 -0700 Subject: [gps-talkusers] Re: Question about equipment:For that handiWork case, is there a zipper to hold the bn inplace or is itvelcro and are there cases fir the m-powers too?
