[gps-talkusers] Re: Problem finding city

Hi,

I bought the GPS software with the PK and it came already installed; but there isn't a CD. Would I be able to download the maps?

Hello,
Try reinstalling your maps.
To do this, erase the files pertaining to your maps then copy them
from either your discs or the download back into the maps folder.
I just tried it with the UK maps and am able to find your city.
I think somehow your map is corrupted.
These names 2b, 2, 2aha, 2b+, are not there on mine.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

I recently got Sendero GPS on a BrilleNote PK and am getting to grips with
it, but now I'm worried something's gone wrong.

I want to look up an address and choose the region East England. I want to
look up the town Colchester and enter colchester in the part where it asks
for city. I did this a few days ago and it did find Colchester. But now
it's coming up with a list of various places within/around colchester, but
not Colchester itself. (Last time it came up with all these other places
too, but there was one just called Colchester as well).

So I tried again and when it asked for city I did space and Enter and it
came up with the list of all the cities in East England. The first few in
the list are these: 2b, 2, 2aha, 2b+, then it goes on to dley St,
Edmundsbury, Suffolk, England. I'm sure there aren't any cities called 2,
2b etc. And if it puts them in alphabetical order it's missing out anything beginning with a, b or c and I'm sure there are cities beginning with a, b,
or c. (Colchester for one!)

So I don't know what's happened - has anyone got any ideas?
