[gps-talkusers] POI files Unknown ?

Good evening to the list,

I've been helping another couple that are not subscribed to this list and 
I'm learning and finding files I can't figure what they are.  One poi file 
is for FM, another GU, MP, PR,PW, UM.   Here's how one file name looks:
40fm_gnis.bpi


Any explanation will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you,
