You had me going there for a minute, Don! <lol> It sounds so foreign to
me, but I remember how foreign the Earthmate seemed after the Sportrak, so
it's just a matter of reading the documents and doing what they say. I just
looked through the Sendero documents and didn't see anything about Holux
receivers, but did see something about the Blue Logger. Did I miss
something?

Peggy,
It will take a while to get the holux receiver up and running. Probably
about 15 seconds. <smile>

Thanks, Chris. And it's all your and Charles's fault for talking me into
ordering it. <grin> I just hope I can get it up and running and get
comfortable with it before mid-October when we go on our trip to
Monterey. <smile>

Well, guys, remembering to participate in the GPS chat can do wonders to

Earthmate,
and they all talked about how wonderful the Holux is and how much more
quickly it acquires satellites, so I decided to order one. The Sendero
site
just said "Holux", so I'm hoping it's the M1000. But it will be fun to
have
it for our upcoming trip to Monterey in a couple weeks.
