[gps-talkusers] Re: New maps in 4.0

You know,
I notice this in 3.51, but wasn't sure about the actual distance. I was
walking up to my house. My house is located on the corner, but the lot my
house sits on ends no more then 50 feet from the corner of the street behind
my house.
After turning on to my street, I heard 80 feet to connecting to fiftieth
street and fifty first avenue, which is the next corner past my house. This
means that the stretch of sidewalk between the corner that I turn off of
must be at least a half of city block long.
Has there been any discussion on this prier to the release of4.0?
I do know that from corner to corner is not 80 feet.

Hey guys,
 
I am starting to notice something a little funny in the Bronx.  Today I was
walking with my students to a near by restaurant for lunch.  We were walking
north up Williamsbridge road.  All of the intersections were off by 70-80
feet.  In other words, I would be standing at an intersection and the gps
would tell me the intersection was still 70-80 feet in front of me.  I am
going to see if this also happens in Brooklyn where I live.  Stay tooned,, I
will write back with more info.  Anybody else experiencing this?
