Hi Lyn,
The problem as I see it with the Breeze is that you cannot plan routes with
it. You need to travel the route first and log it as you go along, which
kind of defeats the problem of the GPS.
Long 0 means you need to press and hold the 0 key down for more than a
second. There is no way to tell the charge of a receivers battery with out
sight. Most receivers will be fully charged after 4 hours.
You do have access to the maps in virtual mode, but you first need to set a
virtual location before you can use them if you don't have a GPS signal.
I would download and read the MGeo manual as this does cover things pretty
thoroughly.
Hope this helps,
Brett.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] Need plenty of Geo help:
Dear Fellow listers;
I suppose the first question I should ask is "shouldn't I have access to
the maps in virtual
mode? I followed a route between Carson City to Reno Nevada on one
occasion but haven't been able
to do that since. I also selected my location from inside my apartment
once. I also walked
a route around a two block square but these have been the extent of my Geo
Experience and I
would appreciate help.
Is there a way for me to tell when the battery for the Holux m1000 is
charging or how much
charge remains? For all I know I have a dead battery. What is more I
have no idea what is meant by "long zero"?
It seems my troubles hinged around my disconnecting from the M1000
receiver. although menu
options and shortkeys are announced, nothing happens when I press "enter".
I often find
myself locked in as a lot of the time I can not exit.
I feel I need to shut off any automatic features I can as it seems that:
sleep mode,
bluetooth, and disconnecting of the Bluetooth receiver causes me problems
and who knows what
else works when I least expect them to.
Sorry for a long post but as you can see I've had considerable problems
and wish now I had
waited for the release of the Trekker Breeze which would have worked right
out of the box!
Sincerely.,
Lin Gallagher
