[gps-talkusers] My Gps Doesn't work, well it didn't


    I would like to thank the many great list members of these and other lists 
that have helped me find a most difficult answer.  i also, to stay on topic, 
would like to impart some information which could be helpful.  my bN is a BT 
using Keysoft 5.1 keysoft.  I didn't do the upgrade because I didn't know I 
would have to right away, and also, my gpS won't work unless for X money, i 
upgrade it also.  My build is 19.  I am greatful that members sent me a getting 
Started.doc which I probably saved more than once, and many goodpointers were 
given.  My receiver is a Magellan 310, I know, probably a bit older.  Oh well.  
There is first, very poorly documented, another reset needed to be done on the 
Magellan.  i don't have exact details, but, you press the Power, lower right, 
and the right Arrow, right side of the wheel together.  Then you release the 
Right Arrow, then the Power button.  then you go through the getting Started 
thing.  Also, when you turn off the Magellan, you don't need to hold the Power 
for six seconds, but you may.  alternatively, Press it once, then release.  
Press quickly again to avoid the five second shutdown menu.  That's it.  to 
turn it on, Press and release.  In a short time, your BrailleNote will say 
"Receiver Detected."  your running.  Hope this Helps.  My email is at the
