[gps-talkusers] Re: IGO Juice Power Adapter with Braillenote

Scott,

You may have found a tip that fits the connection, but there are still two things you don't know. First, what is the correct voltage? The power adaptor may adjust the voltage, so you may be all right on that one, but there's a more important issue: finding the correct polarity. If you get that one wrong, you'll probably cook the unit, as well as voiding a warrantee if you have one. For this reason, I strongly advise against using anything but the adaptor that was specifically designed for your unit. In fact, the manual tells you the same thing, and for good reason.

Subject: [gps-talkusers] IGO Juice Power Adapter with Braillenote

Hi:
Am wondering whether anyone is using the IGO Juice Power Adapter with
the Braillenote Mpower and Braillenote PK. The IGO power adapter has
several different tips which automatically adjust the voltage and
current to requirements of a particular device. IGO tech support has not
tested any of their tips with either of the Braillenote units, although
physically at least it looks like they do have tips which would fit the
Mpower and PK.
Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

Scott
