[gps-talkusers] Re: How to record User POIs with additional information

that makes sense to me, thanks mike and hope you consider that for the future.

Dan,

There is a very powerful manual route creation capability in BrailleNote GPS. You can modify automatic routes by deleting points, inserting points or renaming points. Or, you can manually create an entire route either in virtual mode or as you go in GPS.

The only thing you cannot do yet is to block intersections you don't want to use if you are creating an automatic route. We might add that ability in the future.

thats for the program's default route, sometimes, going offroot from what the maps would have you go is actually better so in that case, how do you record your own personalized route?

If you mean in general yes, you can record a vehicle rout. You can't
change any of the maps if that is what you mean. Find where you want to
go, set it as a destination and then on a bt keyboard, hit r then v and
your set. After you get there, if you want to save it, just hit r then s
and name it. Your set.

is there anyway to record a route, vehicle or otherwise? i noticed many of the vehicle routes mapped out are not necessarily the best routes or most direct so it would be nice to save over a particular mapped route. dan
