Now your thinking Dave!
This is something that I have been mulling around in my head for a
while now. Having User Private POI's and User Public POI's. With sub
categories which you will see in a future release (wink wink) we should
have the ability to create your own private pois and public user pois which
you intend to share with others.
It just keeps getting better and better! Keep those suggestions coming!
Charles.

Charles, thanks for the help. So, the way I understand it, if, for
example, I create a POI called home, which no one else would care to have
entered on their user POI list, and then I mark a more public site such as
an airport or series of buss stops, before I send that POI list to Sendero
I have to delete my home POI, then recreate it after I send the new user
POIs to Sendero?
If that's the case, I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a
personal POI section for those POIs that people wish to create but do not
wish to share in future releases? Alternatively, would it be possible to
place new POIs in already existing categories?

Subject: [gps-talkusers] How to record User POIs with additional information
Hello GPSers
I got a question from one of our users and thought I should share this
with the rest of you incase you didn't know this little bit of information.
A user.poi can contain what every you want in it, E.g. name of the POI,
the street address / phone number, other important information you don't
want to forget.
When entering in your user poi data all you have to do is add a comma
after the name you want the poi to be called and then add any additional
information you want (ie. street address phone #, etc.) This information
after the comma will only show up when you do a chord or ctrl P. In the
commercial POI's this data is stored with the poi itself.
Examples of user POI's you record.
StarBucks Coffee, 123 Darnel St., 523-123-1234, my favorite coffee house.
John's House, Birthday May 8'th
so when you search for nearest POIs you will hear "StarBucks Coffee", or
"John's House"
Then if you do a chord / Ctrl P you will hear the entire information.
"StarBucks Coffee, 123 Dannell St., 523-123-1234, my favorite coffee house."
"John's House, Birthday May 8'th"
Enjoy
