It is important to at least read the read.me file and the Earthmate getting started documents before trying anything. This will save you a lot of frustration and copius emails.

If you are really on good behavior, you will also listen to the audio tutorial.

Per Don's email, the normal process of installing software involves a 3 finger reset. This has to be done in a particular way, which is covered in the ReadMe under the documents folder on the Compact Flash card and in the BrailleNote manual.
