Anna,Chip,
I thought the same bus-gps signal acquisition issues applied to airline travel, 
but I couldn't pry the window open.
I have found getting a fix before entering a metallic vehicle helps when a weak 
signal is all that is available.  The warm start sometimes seems to work when a 
cold start does not. When traveling; if I get a fix on the way to the airport I 
can generally get a fix through the jets window.
