Hi Keith,
When you say "computer" do you mean a PDA? The first Sendero product
ran under Windows and the most portable application would have been to
run it on a laptop. This was not popular because people didn't feel
like they should have to lug around a laptop. Running GPS on the
Braillenote gives people the option of having Braille access. Now!
Having said all that, you should know that Trekker runs on a mainstream
PDA.

I sure hope the day will come when we can use the GPS program with any
off the shelf computer. Then we won't have the problems there seem to
be now with using a notetaker which has a slow processor and limited
memory. And those of us who already own a computer wouldn't have to
spend all that extra money for a Voicenote or Braillenote. Ah, but for
the good old days of Atlas Speaks when we weren't tied to a proprietary
notetaker.
