Hello Zach and Tony,

Well I assume you are not in a country which I haven't completed the POIs
for. So I will need to know more information before I can figure out what
is wrong because there should be hundreds of POIs close to you I would
assume.

So first of which map do you have loaded and the # of maps loaded. Then
when you go into the Help/ Information / About (H then I then A) How many
commercial POI files do you have loaded? Tell me which POIs you
specifically have loaded. To do this use your file manager and go into your
maps folder (make sure it's the same one as you have GPS pointed to) and
tell me all the files ending in .pdb

This will tell me exactly which files you have.

Now that that is established I will need to know your current location.
Give me a Lat/Lon to get this information press Y when you are in GPS.

Now that I have your Maps/POIs and location I will then need to know what
you are searching for. Are you pressing on a BT (Dot 4) or are you pressing
F, or Space F. If you are pressing Space F are you specifying a category
and sub category. Also are you specifying a direction, or a Start distance.
Are you specifying a search string and field name if you are doing an
advance POI search?

Just telling us that there are only a handful of POIs within 30 miles means
absolutely nothing. I can be in the middle of no where and not find a POI
within 500 miles and the system could be behaving correctly because there
are no POIs nearby. But if I am in downtown New York and I can only find 1
poi in 1 mile then something is definitely wrong and I probably don't have
the New York POIs loaded.

So we need a LOT more information in order to help you.

Thank you.

Hi

I have uploaded the new version and it is mostly working brilliantly I
love
the new address look up and the lay out the problem I am having is that
when I do a POI search it is coming up with places from 30 to 323 miles
away! I must have a setting wrong but do not know what!

thanks

Tony
